How To Make Vegetable Grilled Sandwiches
About Vegetable Grilled SandwichesIn a vegetable grilled sandwich there are several options in veggies for making the sandwich. You can also add leftover vegetables. You can add sliced/boiled/cooked potatoes, tomatoes, cucumber, cabbage, onions, etc.
In our recipe, we have used grated cabbage and chopped the onions and green bell pepper finely. Then we have cooked them just slightly to maintain their crunchiness. As an optional ingredient, we have used rosemary spice to add a different flavor. You may avoid it if you wish to. Another grilled sandwich variation can be checked out in my recipe video posted above. You will like these sandwiches. Do try them and give your feedback. Ingredients
How To Make Vegetarian Grilled Sandwiches (With Photos)Heat oil in pan on medium flame. Add garlic when oil is hot. Stir for about 15-20 seconds.
Add the onions and stir these for about one to two minutes.
Reduce heat to low. Add the chopped vegetables & spices.
Do not fully cook them but leave them half cooked to add crunchiness to the vegetables & sandwiches. Just before taking off the heat sprinkle a little of the optional Rosemary spice. Mix well for a few seconds and transfer to a bowl.
Apply a medium thick layer of mayonnaise on 4 slices. On 2 slices spread a medium thick layer of the prepared veggies. Place the other mayo applied slices over these.
Grill these sandwiches in an electric griller for about 5 minutes or till the sandwiches are grilled golden brown.
The sandwiches will be ready in about 5 minutes. Slice them at the middle or cut diagonally across and serve hot with green chutney & tomato sauce.
