About Punjabi Style Rajasthani Panchmel DalPanchmel or Panchratna dal is also called Panchkuti dal. It is a dish from the state of Rajasthan in which equal quantities of 5 dals/lentils are combined to make this dal recipe.
Since moth dal is not available everywhere we have used masoor dal to make this dal. Also, this dal has been made Punjabi style. We hope you like this variation. Panchmel dal can be eaten with Dal Baati, another Rajasthani dish and you can replace the dal in the Dal Batti with this Panchmel dal. Have this dal with roti or rice.
