1 katori/cup chole/garbanzo bean soaked in water overnight 4-5 tbsp chana dal/split bengal gram soaked in water over night 2 tsp tea leaves tied in a cotton cloth 2 bay leaves 2 black cardamom 4 cloves 1 inch cinnamon stick 3-4 green cardamom, lightly hammered 1 tsp salt 1 liter water to make chole 2 tbsp oil 1 med size chopped onion 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste 1 tsp roasted anardana/pomegranate seeds 1 tsp coriander powder 1 tsp amchur/mango powder 1 tsp roasted & ground jeera/cumin seed powder some pudina/mint leaves hara dhania/cilantro 1/2 tsp red chilli powder 1/2 tsp kala namak/black salt 1 tsp garam masala 1 tsp kasuri methi/dry fenugreek leaves 2 medium sized tomatoes, chopped after removing the skin for tadka/tempering the chole 1-2 tbsp oil 4-5 sliced green chillies 5-6 crushed garlic cloves 1/2 tsp roasted jeera powder 1/4-1/2 tsp red chilli powder some onion rings for garnishing How to Make Amritsari Pindi Chole
