Methi Paratha | Punjabi Methi Paratha | Fenugreek Paratha Recipe
About Ground Methi ParathaMethi is Fenugreek leaves. Fenugreek seeds are called Methi dana. Methi paratha can be made in 2 ways. One, by incorporating chopped whole methi leaves in the flour to make dough, and second, by grinding the methi leaves first, and then mixing it into the flour to make dough. This methi paratha is of the second type, so methi leaves will be ground first and then incorporated into the flour. Since this is a Punjabi (North Indian) way of making, this paratha is called Punjabi Methi Paratha or Punjabi Fenugreek Paratha. Methi paratha can be eaten with any type of butter, malai (fresh cream) or curd (yogurt). A glass of lassi alongwith will be like the proverbial icing on the cake. With this little piece of information, for those who are not well versed with Indian Cooking, I will now proceed to explain how Punjabi Methi Paratha is prepared. Note: The green color of the paratha is due to the ground fenugreek leaves and not because of any fungus as some of my readers have feared. This is just for clarification. Ingredients
